Non-FTEN students must pass 60% of the total modules or courses enrolled in a particular year to be funded in the following academic year.
Institutions will confirm with NSFAS at the start of the academic year that students have qualified for progression according to the standard institutional policy and approved rules of progression for the specific programme they are studying. Students on the DHET Bursary Scheme will receive a maximum of N+1 year of funding from NSFAS.
